Orthotic Solutions, Inc. is an experienced provider of "geriatric-proof",
simple-to-apply Orthotics, splints and braces for the knee and back using the newest technologies and Diabetic Footwear - all of which is covered by insurance. Every Therapist,
Resident/Patient, Nurse and Family Member will receive the highest
degree of expertise and professionalism.
Calls are returned within 24 hours. Appointments are typically set within 5 business
days and are made at the location where the patient/resident
resides (SNF, Home, Group home, etc.). Most orthotics
are stocked for immediate delivery. Knee & Back Braces and AFO's are typically fitted within 7-10 days after assessment. Diabetic foot assessments and measuring take place within a week after receipt of all necessary paperwork. Shoes are fitted usually within 10-14 business days after the assessment. Custom inserts take a little longer. Each resident
will receive compassion, understanding and a positive attitude.

insurance to cover the 20% co-payment.

Inc. is responsible for obtaining Physician orders and all
necessary paperwork AND does all of the billing to insurance companies. If OSI experiences any difficulties in obtaining the necessary paperwork, the patient or family member may have to assist us in the process.
Ms. Pamela A. Hoaglund, CMOTSF (Certified Mastectomy Orthotic Therapeutic Shoe Fitter), founder
and President of Orthotic Solutions, Inc., began her career with American Geriatric Services in 1994. In February of 2000,
she became a Medicare provider and started her own business:
Orthotic Solutions of New England. In March of 2005, Orthotic Solutions incorporated. May of 2009, OSI became accredited by The Joint Commission and has successfully completed every annual survey thereafter.
MEET THE TEAM!
Pamela Hoaglund, CMOTSF, provides ongoing training to the fitters. She is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester,
MA. She has assessed and fitted thousands of patients for positioning and contracture management and has conducted hundreds of in-services aimed at educating Rehab and Nursing staff on the various products available and caregivers on the products' proper application. Pamela is certified with the Board of
Certification/Accreditation International and is registered with the American Board for
Certification in O&P as an Orthotics/Mastectomy/Therapeutic Shoe Fitter.
Jamie Stewart, COTA/L, graduated from Bristol Community College in 2010. He has worked in several skilled nursing facilities along his journey and has treated hundreds of patients for contracture management and positioning. Jamie has assessed and fitted over 100 people for diabetic footwear and his goal is to work for Orthotic Solutions full time by the summer of 2019. He has attended multiple training's as well as completing the "Certified Fitter of Therapeutic Shoes Pre-Certification Course".
Alacyn McNeely, PTA, is a graduate of Massasoit Community College. She has worked in several skillednursing facilities along her journey and has treated hundreds of patients for contracture management and positioning. Currently Alacyn works for a local VNA and also assesses for and fits orthotics and diabetic footwear for patients on the South Shore.
Donna Sylvester, OTR/L, has been an Occupational Therapist for 29 years practicing throughout Massachusetts and Cape Cod. She graduated with honors from the University of New England and began her career specializing in neuro-rehab with clients suffering from head injuries. It is here she began her expertise with evaluating and fitting orthotics for tone management and positioning. She then focused on the older adult/geriatric populations within skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation hospitals where she continued her training and treatment of patients with orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions. She has performed extensively in-servicing patients, staff and family members and was an active leader in program development for contracture management policies and procedures. She has been a Rehab Director as well as an Area Regional Director.

Eileen Duly, COTA/L, has been practicing as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant since 2009. She graduated from Northern Essex Community College in Peabody, MA. She has a back ground in massage therapy with a certificate from Polarity Realization Institute in Ipswich, MA in 2003. She has chosen to work primarily with the geriatric population, in a Skilled Nursing setting, serving diverse patient populations including but not limited to orthopedic conditions, degenerative diseases, arthritic changes.
Erica Lovell, DPT, has been practicing physical therapy since 2008 throughout the country from Hawaii, Texas, Florida and in her home state of Massachusetts. She received her Doctorate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and has focused her practice on treating geriatric patients in skilled nursing facilities and in the comfort of their own homes. She has utilized orthotics to assist many patients to improve function, positioning and decrease pain. Seeing the usefulness of these devices in her practice, she sought to specialize in the area of orthotics and diabetic shoes.
Lori Varnum, DPT, is a Navy veteran who graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with her clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. She has been practicing since with focus in geriatrics. She also works in a SNF setting with medically complex patients, including those with dementia. She has worked with many patients with significant positioning needs to maximize their quality of life. Lori joined Orthotic Solutions, Inc. with the goal of expanding her knowledge in orthotics and diabetic footwear and continuing to assist people in her community.
Johanna Raymond, COTA/L, graduated from New England Institute of Technology in 2010 after working as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 10 years. She since has worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Home Care throughout Massachusetts and Cape Cod. Through experiences in various populations (Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, CVA’s, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Schizophrenia, Dementia, Amputation, etc.) she has acquired a vast amount of knowledge and expertise in educating patients and all those who care for them. In Johanna's new career with Orthotic Solutions Inc., she will continue to learn and help others, which hits close to home as both parents suffer from diabetes and she knows first-hand how important foot health and proper shoes are to preventing any risks that could arise when someone does not wear appropriate footwear.
