Orthotic Solutions, Inc. is an experienced provider of "geriatric-proof",
simple-to-apply Orthotics, braces using the newest technology for the knee and back, high-quality Pressure
and Positioning Cushions & Mattress Overlays and a wide variety of Diabetic Footwear - all of which is covered by insurance. Every Therapist,
Resident/Patient, Nurse and Family Member will receive the highest
degree of expertise and professionalism.
Calls are usually returned within several hours, but no longer
than 24 hours. Appointments are typically set within 0-3 business
days and are made at the location where the patient/resident
resides (SNF, Home, etc.). Most orthotics, cushions and overlays
are stocked for immediate delivery. Diabetic shoes are most commonly fitted 5-7 business days from the date of the initial assessment. Each resident
will receive compassion, understanding and a positive attitude. On-going caregiver training
is always made available and is free of charge.

Orthotic Solutions, Inc. is a provider for the
following insurances:
• Medicare Part B
• Blue Cross/Blue Shield
• Harvard Community Health Plan
• Tufts
• Evercare
• Senior Whole Health
• Neighborhood Health Plan
• Aetna
• Iron Clad
• Medicare Part B and some BC/BS plans
cover 80% of Orthotics, Diabetic Footwear and Cushions/Overlays
(please refer to "Coverage Criteria" in each section).
• Most people have a secondary
insurance to cover the 20% co-payment.
• Evercare and Senior
Whole Health cover 100% of Orthotics, Diabetic Footwear and Cushions/Overlays.
• Orthotic Solutions,
Inc. is responsible for obtaining Physician orders and all
necessary paperwork AND does all of the billing to insurance companies.
COMPANY BACKGROUND:
Ms. Pamela A. Hoaglund, CMOF (Certified Mastectomy Orthotic Fitter), founder
and president of Orthotic Solutions, Inc., began her career with American Geriatric Services in 1994. In February of 2000,
she became a Medicare provider and started her own business:
Orthotic Solutions of New England. Mary Beth Bruce, BS, joined
the company in June of 2003, becoming its primary provider of
Diabetic Shoes. In March of 2005, Orthotic Solutions incorporated. May 5, 2009, OSI became accredited by The Joint Commission.


Pamela Hoaglund, CMOF provides orthotics, braces, cushions and mattress overlays. She is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester,
MA. She has assessed and fitted thousands of patients for positioning and contracture management and has conducted hundreds of in-services aimed at educating Rehab staff on the various products available and caregivers on the products' proper application. Pamela is certified with the Board of
Certification/Accreditation International and is registered with the American Board for
Certification in O&P as an Orthotics/Mastectomy Fitter.
Mary Beth Bruce, TSF (Therapeutic Shoe Fitter) is the lead provider of Diabetic Footwear. She is a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, MA. She has assessed and fitted over 6,000 patients for shoes/inserts and continually attends seminars and Diabetic workshops to further develop her expertise in this field. Mary Beth has made working with the Diabetic foot a science unto itself and she is extremely experienced in dealing with various foot disorders such as neuropathy, amputations, hammertoes and bunions, just to name a few.
Jayne Skomial, OTSF, began working with OSI September, 2010. She is a graduate of Bristol Community College and will be responsible for orthotics and diabetic shoes in the Boston and surrounding areas.
She has practiced as a registered dental hygienist for the past 30+ years and is enjoying her work with patients/residents in a new capacity.
